In 2022 I collaborated on a mini-exhibition called Marine Mythology, which was to act as a companion to the special exhibition Sea Monsters: Prehistoric Ocean Predators.
Marine Mythology explained the connection between popular sea creature stories and the animals that inspired them, such as manatees and mermaids. One of my roles was to create illustrations for both the posters and splitting the illustrations into body parts for a "build your own monster" activity. For this I created head, body and leg/tail parts for each individual illustration, as well as a series of colour-ways so that visitors could mix or match each different body part how they liked.
Developing this activity was a fun way to add an interactive aspect to a small-scale exhibition, some visitors even tried to take the printouts home with them!
